I’m not hugely in to Halloween. Nothing against it, and love to see other people get excited about it - I just don’t need a special holiday to dress up in something shocking and eat a ton of candy.
But I do have fond memories of the decorations my mom would put up around the house in late October when I was little— the vintage paper cats and witches in no more than 4 colours. A little bit cartoon-y but also a little creepy. With that in mind, I present to you a little ornament you can stitch up in a jiff. The model is stitched on 32 count Roxy Floss Co linen in the colour Peanut Brittle, using 2 strands of Roxy Floss Co thread over 2 linen threads. Stitched with one thread on 40 count, it would make a cute spooky scissors fob.
Happy Stitching, and Happy Halloween, the only day of the year you are supposed to take candy from strangers.
