On 28, 32, and 36 count fabrics, you will need a half yard of linen.
On 40 count fabric, you can fit this on a wide quarter, but you will only have a 2 inch border on the short side.
On 46 count fabric, a wide quarter is plenty to stitch this design.

Test a small sample if you intend to wash, esp darker colours. It has been rinsed and set carefully and should be colourfast - but always better safe than sorry.
