Looking for linen? We recommend using Roxy Floss Co linen in the colour "Porcelain". A wide quarter will be plenty to stitch this chart (we do not recommend only purchasing an eighth as it will not be big enough for most counts).
Prefer Aida? We now have Roxy Hand Dyed Aida available in "Porcelain" too! A wide quarter will be plenty when stitching on 18ct or 20ct, however, you will need to purchase a wide half to ensure you have enough yardage when stitching on 14ct or 16ct.
This design measures 189 crosses wide, and 149 crosses high.

After releasing my new pattern, “Here Be Dragons”, some days ago, I received multiple requests for a companion piece featuring a lion. And thus, I obliged.
Here Be Lions can be stitched in a wide variety of ways: Only stitch the black square symbols (the positive space), or choose to stitch only the background (the negative space).
From there, you can choose to stitch the positive as a dark on a light background (the cover artwork) or a light on a dark background. The same goes for the negative space. You could even choose to stitch this design as a full cover piece!
There’s a total of 12630 crosses in the positive version. The negative version has a few more: 15531.
On the floss:
Test a small sample if you intend to wash, esp darker colours and reds. The floss has been rinsed and set carefully and should be colourfast - but always better safe than sorry.
Carded and packed for you by hand in a smoke free, pet friendly workshop.
